In October 2013, the CEDEI Foundation, along with the Government of the United States of America, supported the English Access Microscholarship Program, which awarded scholarships to students with an outstanding academic level and of limited economic resources in Cuenca.

It benefited 30 students ages 12 to 15 and ended in April 2015. With this educational aid program, the students benefited reached an intermediate level of English.

Therefore, after the completion of this project, CEDEI decided to continue supporting the students and awarded them full scholarships for English classes, so that they could complete the study program. The aid also included the provision of books and teaching materials for the classes.
